Many charming period houses have wood floors, which we love.  Often, though, the original flooring is hidden beneath layers of carpeting and/or tile.  When those layers are taken up, we sometimes find pristine and perfect floors, but more often than not, we find all sorts of damage, discoloration, and crude repair work.  Don’t give up!  Many floors – even ones that look like the one in the photo – can be restored to their original beauty.  It takes time and skill; a portion of your project budget will need to be set aside for the expenses.  But it’s worth it.  Questions?  Send us an email.
